• Dr. Firey graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, and moved to Vermont soon after.  She practiced traditional veterinary medicine in a local clinic until 2002, and continues to be active in the veterinary community.

• Dr. Firey is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association and Options for Animals in Wellsville, Kansas.

• Dr. Firey is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. She received her training at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida.

• Currently, Dr. Firey is taking coursework in Canine Rehabilitation and in Chinese Herbology. In the past, she has taken courses in nutrition, western herbology, and Bach Flower remedies. She is also a Level I Reiki practitioner.

• Dr. Firey is a member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association, and the Greater Burlington Veterinary Medical Association.
